The following is our 2024 Vivid Vision, which brings the future into the present and allows us to gain clarity on what we are building now. It is a detailed overview of what our business will look like, feel like, and act like three years out - by December 31, 2024. Sharing it with others helps it become reality!

The Next Chapter

2021 was a big year for Eye Love! We were acquired by Physician Recommended Nutriceuticals (PRN) in June as a strategic venture to enable Eye Love to reach as many people as possible. Because we know it can be scary for the consumer when a small company is acquired by a larger player, we want you to be aware of how this affects you. On a day-to-day basis, it’s business as usual except that we now have new resources at our disposal to enable us to provide you with the best, most innovative products out there. 

Our entire team is now a part of PRN, and we will continue to lead our dedicated team under this larger umbrella, providing them even more opportunity for growth than they thought possible.

When we started Eye Love in 2015, we had big dreams and goals for this company. What started as a polarized sunglasses company in our dining room has become a major player in the eye care space, providing affordable and high quality products to the customers who place their trust in us. We don’t take this lightly!

Eye Wellness, Eyelid Hygiene and Supplements Portfolio

Our patients and customers deserve access to quality products, and we see it as our duty to deliver. Our eye wellness products, and especially our Heyedrate Lid and Lash Cleanser, continue to be our focus of growth in the next few years. We believe everyone should be cleaning their eyelids twice daily (like brushing your teeth!) and our goal is to get this product into the hands of as many people as possible.

Future goals include rolling out a few additional products to help support overall systemic health and enhance the customer’s morning and evening routine. These include our Heyedrate Eye Cream and Face Moisturizer, a brand new eye drop, and natural eyelid wipes for those with sensitive skin. 

A large focus of our eye wellness growth in 2022 and beyond will be subscription and wholesale models. By partnering with the current PRN salesforce, we know that our products can be an asset to the omega-3 line they are already offering to their wholesale doctors. In addition, by enhancing the customers’ and doctors’ ordering experience and using other people’s audiences to reach more doctors, we’ll be able to reach more customers and practitioners and increase our wholesale accounts to over 500 members and over 15,000 customers on subscription by 2024.

The Community

A few years ago, we set out to create a community of like-minded individuals looking for answers to their irritated eyes. This community has been, and continues to be, an engaging space meant to be a place where questions can be freely asked and honestly answered. As optometrists, we hear from patients every day who suffer from a variety of ocular health issues. We know firsthand how important it is to be upfront with them on the reality of their condition. 

We believe that through education about total body inflammation, our book, and this community, patients suffering can find a little bit of help and hope.  We would like to get this community over 30,000 members by the year 2024. While we’ve had to take a step back from the community post acquisition, we continue to moderate and read the majority of posts to ensure that members are receiving the most up-to-date information possible.

Eye Love Cares Foundation

It is the mission, duty and purpose of the Eye Love Cares Foundation to address, educate, coordinate, and provide aid and relief to those who have no access to proper eye care on a local and global level. 

We believe that everyone deserves great vision. But over ONE BILLION people are functionally blind due to lack of glasses. By providing affordable, high-quality products to our customers, we’re able to give a portion of the profits back to those who can neither afford nor obtain quality eye care in the Caribbean, Mexico and the United States.

We see it as our duty to be available, when we are capable, to provide one of the most important yet basic human rights to ordinary people by giving them the vision they thought they had lost. This enables them to not only see the faces of their loved ones again, but also provide for themselves and their families through careers they may have lost to poor vision.

Although sight is one of our five senses, we believe that it is the most important one. Vision is an essential part of learning, working, and functioning in daily life. It is our duty to provide care, education, and outreach for those who need it most, with an emphasis on low- and middle-income, multicultural, and rural communities in both the United States and abroad. Resources will be directed toward grassroots organizations that work principally with these groups of people. We have already contributed close to $300,000 and we pledge to contribute $300,000 more to the Eye Love Cares Foundation by the end of 2024. We also can’t wait to get back in the field and travel to help give people the gift of sight!

Our Team

Our team has grown so much this year, not in total numbers but in experience!  By partnering with PRN, they’ve been provided with new resources and new opportunities they did not have available to them before. 

As always, one of the most important areas we focus on is customer service. This representative is truly an extension of us and is able to treat the customer with respect, fulfill their needs, and ensure that their experience with us is optimal. Along with the team running our ecommerce space, we will ideally be able to spend more time traveling on eye care missions throughout the world.

Communication and Customer Service

As stated previously, this is one of the most important areas our company focuses on. Our representatives are truly a direct extension of us and always treat the customer with respect, fulfill their needs, and ensure that their experience with us is optimal. They realize that if a customer is unhappy for any reason, their duty is to promptly make it right and leave the customer excited about doing business with us.

They do this while following our core values: INTEGRITY FIRST, SERVICE BEFORE SELF, EXCELLENCE IN ALL WE DO, and PEOPLE OVER PROFITS.

Media and Marketing

Our creative assets online are continually updated and the team in charge is incredible at keeping a pulse on our space so we can continue to deliver exactly what our customers and patients desire. While we have faced a few challenges in the past few months, this has forced us to think on our feet and become much more creative in the way we advertise. While we have taken our focus away from live media interviews with experts in the field, podcasts, and our YouTube channel, we’ll be searching for new avenues to market moving forward. 

We believe a large area for growth will be the direct to doctor arena. Our parent company, PRN, has this dialed in and we look forward to seeing how Eye Love and Heyedrate can grow with their guidance.

How We Feel

2021 was a year of immense growth and change.  When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, we were unsure of what to expect but quickly made a plan and pivoted where we needed to. We realized we could not rely on Fulfillment by Amazon (Amazon FBA) to deliver our products to customers in a timely manner, so we began focusing more on personally fulfilling orders through Amazon and our website. We had already planned for something like this to happen, just not at the scale it did.  We were able to pivot away from Amazon FBA quickly with a minimal effect on overall sales.  We are forever grateful for the time and effort our logistics team put in during this time. 

However, despite the initial challenges, Heyedrate continued to thrive throughout 2020 and 2021 and we ended the year with our best year to date in both revenue and, more importantly, profit. This has allowed us to donate more to those in need. 

One reason for our ability to thrive during this time was our purchase of MediViz, a similar eye wellness company with offerings complementary to ours. MediViz allowed us to easily bring new products to our current customers without having to go through extensive R&D, and the purchase of this business has overall been a blessing for us.

Through our acquisition with PRN, we’ve been continually encouraged by the strength and resilience of our team members and customers. Both have put their trust in us, and we know that because of this Eye Love will continue to be an incredible company with great potential. As we move into 2022, we are doubling down on our current products and expanding those that are performing well.  Along with PRN, we will be releasing a Heyedrate PRO line direct to doctors. We’re excited about the potential of this line, and we look forward to seeing how many people can be impacted by these products. We have learned a lot from our mistakes along the way, and still have a lot to learn, but we are dedicated to continual education and ensuring that Heyedrate grows into everything we know it can be. 

The past few years have been rough because of losing our son, Bodhi, to Trisomy 18 on November 2, 2019. 2020 was a year of grief for us, and 2021 turned out to be a year of reflection and change. Although we will forever miss Bodhi Ray, he is forever in our hearts and forever on our minds as we grow this business. 

Our first born, Jude, continues to be such an inspiration to us and has changed not only our lives but the lives of tens of thousands of others.  When we were told we couldn’t have children, we still tried for three years… Nothing worked.  But we continued to explore and learn, and took a road less traveled.  We explored alternative medicine and within six months we got pregnant with him.  We welcomed Jude in 2017, Bodhi in 2019, and our third boy, Silas, in 2021...more evidence that anything is possible!

With every challenge in life, from the death of a child to the 2020 pandemic to debilitating disease, you can let it:
