How I Cured My Eczema, Dandruff, and Skin Inflammation Naturally
Getting personal is not something that I normally enjoy, but I know how much my experience can help others. Those who battle eczema, dandruff, eyelid inflammation, and various other skin rashes know how debilitating these conditions can be. Just like you, I've tried everything over the years to get rid of the inflammation, with minimal success. However, I've recently discovered a regimen that works for me, and I know it can change others' lives. So I've decided to let my guard down and share my experience curing my eczema, dandruff, eyelid inflammation, and skin rashes.
My Regimen and Why It Works!
Armpit Rashes - Who hasn't had one of these at one time or another? Did you know that you often get armpit rashes from the chemicals in your deodorant? I had no idea and for years just used a regular antiperspirant. Recently, I switched to a natural deodorant because I heard that deodorant is one of the most toxic things in your home (also on the list is dryer sheets!). Carolina Soap Works Unscented Natural Deodorant has literally changed my life. Simple yet effective ingredients mean no more itching, redness, or irritation. The ingredients are simple and clean, and I have not had a rash since using this deodorant.
Eczema - I've battled this since I was a kid. In fact, the dryness was so awful at one point that I felt like I was constantly peeling the skin off of my face. Not exactly something you want to deal with as a young kid or teen! Since then, I've used everything from strong moisturizers to prescription steroid creams...but the one thing I've found to work the best is Carolina Soap Works Activated Charcoal Goat Milk Soap. This stuff is amazing. I use it every day in the shower and slather my entire body in it. It's been so beneficial keeping my eczema at bay, even in colder or harsh weather. I really like that you get a deep clean without drying, since the activated charcoal naturally attracts and locks in toxins that can cause breakouts and irritation. It doesn't disrupt your skin’s natural pH and is great for sensitive skin like mine.
Dandruff - Along with the eczema, dandruff is just something I've had to deal with since I was little. It definitely gets worse in drier weather, and I've tried all of the dandruff shampoos out there (including the nasty coal tar stuff). I recently began using Heyedrate Tea Tree Oil Soap to battle this dandruff, and I find that it works great to eliminate the flakes both on my scalp and in my beard. The tea tree oil really kills the bacteria responsible for the dandruff, and the bar is easy to use. I simply lather it into my hair and beard (if I have one at the time) and rinse off in the shower.
Eyelid Inflammation - This can be anything from blepharitis to meibomian gland dysfunction to flakiness of the eyelids. You name it, I've battled it. Until now, I've never found anything gentle but effective enough to do the job. I now start by washing my face with Heyedrate Tea Tree Oil Soap and then use the Heyedrate Eyelid and Lash Cleanser, which is a hypochlorous acid eyelid spray that really eliminates the bacteria around my eyes. My eyes have never been more comfortable in my life because of this. I simply spray the cleanser onto my eyelids in the morning and evening, rub it in, and let it sit (you can also spray it onto a cotton ball first if you'd like).
Do you know why these remedies have worked so well for me? Because I went back to the basics. I kept my routine simple. I eliminated the toxins that are so often found in body care products. I truly believe that when we eat clean, exercise, and treat ourselves well, our bodies know how to heal themselves. By eliminating the chemicals and keeping things simple, I've begun to enjoy clear skin, flake-free hair, and much less irritated eyes. If you suffer from skin inflammations like I have, I encourage you to get rid of your chemical-laden products and try out the routine I've outlined above. I think it just might work for you as it has for me.
