What is the difference between Hydro Eye and Heyedrate Omega-3 for Eye Health?
I talked a little bit about how they can be used in combination with one another. What I promote in my book, “Rethinking Dry Eye Treatment” on Amazon and what I wrote on this website, is that you want to be taking healthy omega-6s with healthy omega-3s. You want those omega-6s to be about a 4 to 1 ratio if you are not a healthy individual, but if you are a healthy individual you want it to be about 2 to 1. So, if you take Hydro Eye with our supplement, you are going to be getting that GLA, which is the healthy omega-6, with our omega-3s.
What we are working on right now is coming out with a vegetarian based dry eye omega. That is going to have a 4 to 1 or 2 to 1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3. Hydro Eye is not vegetarian, it has fish oil in it, and ours is going to be completely vegetarian based. Then, you can take both of ours together. For now, if you took Hydro Eye, you can take ours with it and they will work synergistically with each other. A food you can eat with that same ratio is avocado, which is our favorite. It has a 15 to 1 healthy omega-6 to omega-3 ratio, which is awesome. Also, hemp seeds, chia seeds, ground-up flax seeds all have high amount of fat but they all have healthy omega-6 to healthy omega-3.
When each cell in your body is being created it has a cell membrane or a wall around the city, and if you eat bad fats, processed foods, sugars, beef, dairy, and things that are not organic and farm raised, the walls do not let enough oxygen through because they are terribly made. When you eat healthy fats, those walls are made really well and it will allow oxygen to pass through, which means healthier cells, which means it is going to make you feel better. So, Hydro Eye and Heyedrate can absolutely be taken together.
