United StatesMy wife has used this device and Lid&Lash Cleaner for over a year. Purchased with 90 tips. Early on it became evident that her use of lubricating drops decreased quite a bit. It was also evident that the recurring expense of the tips was the real money maker for Nusight Medical. Tips are to Nulids as cartridges are to ink jet printers. When first marketed they were $1 each ($365/year), now $1.56 each ($569/year). But does it have to be that way? I think not. Tips are not delivered in a sterile manner, but rather 30 to a package. We assume they are clean when delivered. Mechanically it is a piece of formed silicone containing a magnetic pellet. We developed a routine where 15-20 used tips are saved in a closed container, then antiseptically cleaned using Lid&Lash Cleanser and an electric toothbrush; then rinsed in sterilized filtered water; then dried and disinfected using already owned CPAP cleaning equipment. Each of our originally purchased tips has been REUSED multiple time with the same good results as using new tips.

CanadaIt’s too early to say whether they are making a difference however optimistic based on reviews? I’ve used for a couple of weeks and so far no difference. The one recommendation I have is to change the gel that is provided to put on the tips. It stings and irritates my eyes and I’ve seen that complaint mentioned frequently.
